School of Respiratory Therapy

UPMC Shadyside serves as a clinical site for the Respiratory Therapy Program of the Community College of Allegheny County. A respiratory care practitioner is a health care professional who provides therapeutic intervention and diagnostic management to those patients with impaired pulmonary function.
