With the largest number of board certified geriatricians of any area hospital, UPMC Shadyside offers quality care for older adults. The Senior Care Institute provides geriatric assessment and evaluation, and keeps seniors healthy through a wide range of wellness and educational programs and lectures.

The Heritage UPMC Shadyside
Located at 5701 Phillips Avenue in Squirrel Hill, The Heritage offers nursing home care, short stay respite care, and subacute care for patients who do not require hospitalization but are not yet ready to return home.

Senior Care Institute
At UPMC Shadyside's Senior Care Institute, located on the third floor of the hospital's east wing, a wide range of services are available to meet the needs of older adults. They include: medical consultations, geriatric assessments, and primary care. Other services include the Senior Information Service, 55 Alive driving classes, semi-annual Town Meetings for Seniors, and more.

Services for Seniors
