The Heritage Shadyside

The Heritage Shadyside is a 145-bed continued care facility located in Squirrel Hill. The Heritage is proud to provide a warm and caring atmosphere in a setting that is comfortable, yet elegant. Residents can enjoy the wide variety of homelike settings the facility offers such as a formal dining room, activity room, personal care salon, and an outdoor patio.

Our professional staff offers the emotional support of a family by remaining sensitive to every individual's needs. Residents are encouraged to bring the comforts of their home, such as furniture, bedspreads, photos and personal items with them for their stay.

The Center for Post Hospital Care
Successfully bridges the gap between hospital and home care by providing continued care for patients who have been in the hospital for major surgery, neurological diseases, cancer and other medical treatments.

Traditional Skilled Care
Provides skilled nursing or rehabilitation for an extended period of time by licensed nurses and therapists.

Intermediate Care
Provides around the clock nursing supervision and restorative care. This program enables our patients to maintain the highest level of independence in a homelike setting.

Respite Care
Provides our residents and their family members with the opportunity to decide if intermediate care will be appropriate in the future. It is available on a sliding scale basis.

Hospice Care
Provides residents and family members with support services related to coping with the end stages of life by working in conjunction with several local home hospice agencies.
