Jennings Reception Area/Patient Education Library Outpatients enter the Mary Hillman Jennings Radiation Oncology Center via a dedicated elevator that connects directly into the reception area. The receptionist informs the appropriate staff members of the patient's arrival through the Center's computer network system. The waiting area is centrally located to key areas - reception, the clinic (exam area), simulation (treatment planning), and the treatment area. Relaxing music, beverages, puzzles, and reading materials provide a diversion for patients and visitors in this area. The Patient Education Library, adjacent to the waiting area, provides AV materials, books, pamphlets, and magazines with focus on cancer and wellness issues. A children's play area provides a place for children to color, read, or play while visiting the Center.
