Vascular Medicine
The Pittsburgh Vascular Institute (PVI) at UPMC Shadyside works closely
with the Pittsburgh Heart Institute to provide a full range of comprehensive
cardiovascular services. Established in 1988,
the institute focuses on the use of radiology as a noninvasive method of diagnosing
vascular problems. The institute is also highly committed to stroke prevention and is
presently exploring new stroke prevention techniques.
