Us
The comfort and well-being of the residents of Canterbury Place is our first priority. That is why we have established avenues for giving that support our important services. Your tax-deductible donation helps sustain these services and keeps our focus where it needs to be — on our residents. Following are a few examples of areas where you may choose to direct your generous contribution.
Benevolent Care Fund
Each year, financial assistance is provided to Canterbury Place residents
who, for numerous reasons, can no longer afford their monthly fee. This assistance
is provided through donations received by the Benevolent Care Fund. This fund
is an especially meaningful choice for tribute and memorial gifts.
Interfaith Pastoral Care and Education Program
At Canterbury Place — a nondenominational community — we provide
services to meet the religious needs of our residents through our Interfaith
Pastoral Care Program. This program includes regularly scheduled services
by Jewish and Christian clergy, and personal support for residents, family
members, and caregivers. Our Interfaith Pastoral Care Education Program invites
graduate students in theology and social work from local seminaries and universities
to gain practical experience in our facility. These programs are supported
by the Interfaith Pastoral Care and Education Program.
Facilities and Services Fund
Donations may also be directed to benefit facilities and services at the residence,
including the chapel, clinics (dental, medical, eye), and Harmony Hall Garden.
Donations of artwork, furniture, small appliances, games, toiletries, and
other household items are also gratefully accepted.
Unrestricted Gifts
You may also make an unrestricted gift, which will be directed toward the
area of greatest need within Canterbury Place.
Types of Gifts
Gifts can be made in any of these forms:
cash, check, or credit card
stock, property, life insurance policies, or other assets
planned giving as part of your estate plan or as a bequest in your will
