UPMC COSMETIC SURGERY AND SKIN HEALTH CENTER FIRST IN PENNSYLVANIA
TO OFFER COSMETIC PROCEDURE THERMACOOL
PITTSBURGH, March 11, 2003 - The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's
Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center is the first in Pennsylvania
to offer a new cosmetic system recently approved by the U.S. Food and
Drug Administration.
Suzan Obagi, M.D., assistant professor of dermatology and director
of the Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center, is one of the first
50 dermatologists in the country to offer the advanced cosmetic system
called ThermaCool TC Tissue Contraction System.
"We now offer patients something that no one else in Pittsburgh
can, and that is a procedure to tighten and lift facial skin in a non-surgical
fashion," Dr. Obagi said.
This new cosmetic procedure uses a noninvasive, non-laser technique
to tighten and lift sagging areas of the brow, cheeks and neck. The
procedure is simple and has minimal side effects. It can be performed
in approximately one hour, with little or no downtime for recovery.
The Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center, located at Blaymore 2,
Suite 103, 1603 Carmody Court in Sewickley, Pa., offers procedures ranging
from cosmetic surgery to simple aesthetic services such as European
facials and laser hair removal.
For more information about this new technique for younger skin or to
schedule a consultation, call (724) 940-7546.
